from Church to Church
During this COVID-19 crisis, people in Central America are struggling to receive basic food for their families each day. With high unemployment rates before the virus, things have gotten much worse. The churches in Latin America depend on weekly tithes to survive and now that churches can’t meet together, there is nothing coming in. With close to 100 active local church partners in Guatemala and Honduras, Serve Hope is responding by uniting the American church with a church in Guatemala or Honduras.
Through strategic prayer for each other and this sharing of resources, the local churches will get through this, one church at a time. A seven-month offering will be suggested to help cover the cost of the pastor and members that are struggling for. There are three levels of adoption based on the size and economics of each church. The Serve Hope staff will coordinate with each local church pastor to assess needs:
Town
$650/month, 60+ members
Neighborhood
$450/month, 40-60 members
Village
$250/month, less than 40 members
